Mane Bay
We arrive at Mane Bay in the early afternoon and set up for our last two dives of the day. Before the dive, the villagers come out from the village by canoe and raft up along the side of the boat with their market goods. There is an hour of exciting market shopping where we buy fresh coconut, slippery cabbage, papaya and casava. Some of our travellers have also brought gifts and school supplies for guests as part of the Pack for a Purpose program and have made fast friends with the local school children.
We jump in off the back of the boat into the shallow water and head out for a dive. It doesnβt matter which direction we head as the diving is lovely everywhere. Coral heads covered in anemones are home to a variety of anemonefish. Damsels and Seargents flit around the shallow reef and surgeon fish make their way along the wall. Tucked in among the coral we find cucumbers and sea stars along with the occasional eel.
